Porthills to Lyttelton

On the ascent at the Porthills. 

At the summit. 

On the descent there were no pictures captured. We literally ran down the side of a mountain into the brush. Then found a sheepish looking trail that eventually turned into a real train. 

Above is the exit of the trail we found as well as the mountain/ hill we climbed over. It is roughly 500m above sea level.

Sumner to Taylor's Mistake

         

Went to Sumner beach then hiked over a cliff to get to Taylor's mistake. Very joyous day in the sun.

New Brighton + Nature Reserve

               

           

Excellent day. Went to the beach in New Brighton with some friends then visited a kiwi nature preserve and participated in Powhiri (Maori welcome) with the group.

Day 3 & 4: A Trip to Springfield and the surrounding area

 

 

 We did so much  on this trip! Climbed real rocks, cut down some trees, planted new ones, saw beautiful mountains, ran with cows, stayed in a cute hostile, saw an underground river system and hiked a bit.

Did I mention the amazing rocks?
